"Chopped" Date Night for Couples
Columbia, SC, January 2018
"Chopped Date Night for Couples was an awesome experience. There has never been anything done like this in Columbia, SC before so there was a great group of couples for the "date night" cooking competition. After the competition, my husband and I got to share a very welcomed intimate dinner. What a treat! - Great company, good music, and lots of available wine.

"This cooking competition was awesome, you can't mess it up. There were pre-measured items and ingredients at our stations. All pans and utensils were provided. Literally everything is there at your station. Dr. Phanor, walked around and gave detailed instructions to all of us. He interacted and gave us great feedback about our communication and working together as a team to compete against the other couples. It was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to hang out with their spouse or get out and meet other couples!"

"We attended a Chopped Date Night for Couples by Passion A&E and besides meeting great like-minded new couples we enjoyed unlimited wine; created a fabulous recipe for the judges (we didn’t win) - followed by dancing and a romantic meal and a luxurious chocolate cake dessert. It was an awesomely fun evening. We learned a lot too from Dr. Phanor’s relationship tips. Being someone who does not cook much the cooking competition allowed us to reflect on how we communicate and work together as a team to accomplish things. Can't wait for the next one to attend. "I went to an offsite Chat and Paint event hosted by Passion A&E (for $125 extra they will come to you, set up, and bring all the materials that you need, 15 person minimum) and the whole experience was amazing. Definitely one of the best and most fun things you can do for $40.
I was initially worried because I lack any artistic skills, but laughing at ourselves and our attempt to paint was half of the fun (you recreate a painting, with step by step instructions from the instructor). The wine helped too. It's not as much about the painting as having fun with friends, so don't worry if you are not the most artsy person on the planet it won't take away from the fun that you have.
This would be great for corporate events to promote team building and bonding, for a cute date night, birthday parties, or just something different to do with friends.
Can't wait to paint again!"

"Not only was our class fun...we REALLY learned something!. Each couple had their own prep area as well as stove top cooking area. Our chefs obviously wanted each couple to be successful and enjoy the evening and all their actions said that loud and clear. Instructions were easy to follow and the food we cooked tasted delicious. A real surprise was that we made enough to take home left overs to enjoy the next day. The wine really enhanced the food. Fun evening that flew by. Highly recommend.'

'Thought this was going to be fun, but turned out to be WAY more fun than I imagined! If you don't think you can paint, think again. Fun, high energy, couple of "drying breaks" perfect for a quick trip back to the bar - all in a really sleek setting. Great for dates, going out with a friend or two or having a party."

"By far the best experience ever!! It was my first time doing this type of thing and I can honestly tell you that I wish I had known about this sooner. Our instructor was full of energy and great teaching skills! I honestly did not think that my painting would even be semi-great but in the end they all turned out great! I will definitely be back to do this again!!!! It is worth a try if you have never done it before!"
